Auto Tinting Cautions: Vehicle Watchlist

Window tinting can effect the operation of some vehicles containing electronic reception / transmission technoligies such as GPS systems, telephones and in-glass antennas. This is called EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and is typically seen with metallised films.

Due to the potential problems of EMI many vehicle manufacturers advise owners against the fitting of metallised window films.

As a general rule installers should caution vehilce owners about the potential EMI problem if their vehicle contains a GPS, in - vehicle telephone system or in - glass antenna. Once advised of the owner can accept the responsibilty in their decsion on whether you should procedd.

Note!

3M Black Automotive Window Film is manufactured without metal and therefore will not interfere with Radio, Mobil Phone and GPS navigation signals instead it has a base element of carbon one of the strongest and stablest element in the world.
