Star City Sydney Project
Overview:
Universal Tint was contracted to carry out a large-scale commercial window tinting job at Star City Sydney, one of the city’s premier entertainment and casino destinations. The project involved applying specialised window films to improve the environment within the casino, enhancing both comfort and privacy for its patrons.
Film Types Used:
- 3M Anti-Glare Window Film
- 3M Frosted Window Film
Challenges and Solutions:
The Star Casino features expansive glass roof panels, which allowed excessive heat and glare to enter the gaming lounge. This not only made the environment uncomfortable but also impacted visibility within the space. To address this, Universal Tint applied 3M Anti-Glare Window Film to the external glass roof panels, significantly reducing both heat and glare. This solution improved the overall comfort for visitors and minimized energy costs by lowering the need for air conditioning.
In addition, the 3M Frosted Window Film was applied to specific gaming area windows. The goal was to reduce glare on gaming machines and ensure added privacy for patrons, creating a more enjoyable and focused atmosphere for guests. The frosted film provided a sleek, professional finish while effectively diffusing light and enhancing the aesthetic of the interior spaces.
Results:
The combination of anti-glare and frosted window films achieved excellent results. The gaming lounge at Star Casino is now better protected from heat and glare, while the frosted film offers enhanced privacy for guests. The job highlights Universal Tint’s capability to handle projects of any scale, with tailored solutions that improve both functionality and aesthetics.
